We weren't the first...

When we moved into the house we were left a lovely black and white photo of the house with it's historic family, with generations spanning from the Georgian to Victorian to Edwardian era's looking very grand.
We have always had the photo on show but didn't realise it's legacy until shortly after we had opened the bakery when one of our customers brought in a photo of The Keep family of Bakers and they matched those in our photo.
So, it must have been destiny all along, for us to find our lovely home 100 years exactly after it was built. We had no intention at that time of ever running a bakery - but history has a funny way of catching up with you, and fate definitely has played its part. I wonder what The Keeps would have had to say...
We hope they would be thrilled to see the tradition continuing and even with all the modern changes to the house and the modern developements that are now happening in the village, they would give us a nod of approval at keeping this basic provision alive.
